Lumber

Not all pressure treated lumber is alike! Build your substructure and stringers with wood designed to meet your specific needs. Unlike the wood readily available at the big box stores that carries wood treated to only .004, we stock wood treated to .60 and 2.5 CCA which is specific for marine applications.

Our marine grade lumber is stocked in 12’ and 16’ lengths in the following sizes:

2×4, 2×6, 2×8, 2×10, 2×12
3×6, 3×8, 3×10,3×12
4×4, 4×6, 4×8, 4×10, 4×12, 6×6
Piling strips available in 1x2x10 and 1x2x12

Special size lumber upon request.

Ipe is a Brazilian hardwood commonly used for deck and dock projects. It has a typical lifespan of over 50 years due to is extreme hardness. Natural Ipe is a rich brownish-red color that will gray over time into a beautiful weathered look. If you wish to keep it the rich brown color you will need to periodically use a deck cleaner and apply Penofin oil.

For those that prefer real wood, we stock the Tropical Decking from Sunbelt Forest Products. This product is a 2×6 with a uniform ½” radius edge on all 4 sides. We stock the decking with the Preserve Plus ® treatment which makes the boards decay, mold and termite resistant with an added water repellent. The Copper Azole (CA) treatment is pressure treated to the center of the boards for a longer lasting product. We stock it in 10’, 12’, 14’ and 16’ lengths.

We stock marine grade treated piles, 2.5 CCA in both of our locations. Typical sizes in stock are:

8” butt x 18’
9” butt x 18’
10” butt x 20’, 25’, 30’ and 35’
12” butt x 20, 25’, 30’ and 35’
